Step-by-Step Instructions on Replacing Cords for Discovery and Odyssey Headphones

The cord on the Discovery headset and Odyssey headphone are field replaceable and offer the ability to switch the body from stereo to mono (or vice versa).

All of the cords for both series are straight cords and all use 3.5mm plugs.

To change the cord:

First pull back the inside of the ear cushion to reveal the small round access hole. Insert an unfolded paper clip into the hole far enough for it to reach into the recessed cavity where the end of the cord connects into the earcup. 

Next, move the “top” end of the paper clip so the inserted end moves in the opposite direction, pushing against the latch of the cord, releasing the cord in the process.
