Califone First Student Computer and Tablet 10-Position Jackbox
Califone Offers First Jackbox for Computer-Based Group Learning & with iPad® and Other Tablets. One device can connect up to 10 headphones for use with computers, tablets or other devices enabling educators to expand multimedia-based learning opportunities.
As computer and mobile device-related activities continue increasing in classrooms, the need for distributed audio (through connected headphones) to differentiated learning groups has also grown. To meet this growing demand,Califone International has launched the JB310 Jackbox.
The JB310 is the first 10-position stereo jackbox capable of distributing audio to today’s headphones through its 3.5mm plugs.
The JB310 also gives each listener individual control over their volume setting. Encased in rugged ABS plastic for classroom durability, the 10-position Jackbox is ideal for an individual or a small group to work on computers, tablets, and even smartphones or other devices since it can be connected with its built-in 3.5mm or ¼” jacks. For even greater distribution, the JB310 also has an additional 3.5mm plug to daisy chain more students with another jackbox.
In a recent survey conducted by Califone, a majority of educators who responded (76.5 percent) reported that four or more students are grouped together in computer-based learning centers during classroom lessons. Grouping by interest, ability, learning style, or other common factor enables students to learn at a pace that works best for them and master new content and skills. With the JB310 Jackbox, educators can organize large group learning for differentiated instruction, while maximizing use of existing technology resources to captivate and motivate students. From leveled reading to foreign language applications to social studies activities, the JB310 Jackbox helps educators connect students for shared learning.
“Digital activities on tablets are a great way to keep students engaged in learning, but making sure all students are equally enriched can be challenging when faced with limited resources and time,” said Tim Ridgway, vice president of marketing for Califone. “The new Jackbox offers an easy, cost-effective way for educators to extend their reach through one simple device.”
The JB310 Jackbox comes with a one-year warranty, including educational use, with service support available through authorized dealers nationwide.
