Califone Increase the Music, Not the Noise
Music is all around us in everyday life – the radio, TV, online, and of course in your own school – and its effect can inspire children to become the greatest of musical artists. Teaching them musical skills is an important step toward their appreciation of such a craft.
Instruments and musicality are only a part of what your students need in order to learn the lessons you present. Developing an ear for music is just as vital. But really, more than one ear goes into learning a new song or playing a new instrument to get the full sound effect doesn’t it? That being the case, your students can listen to a bass, guitar or keyboard on an individual basis by wearing stereo headphones, for better concentration, that connect to their instrument using a 3.5mm plug, which provides good stereo quality with clear sound and great effects. While you instruct them on how they can hone their skills and can apply what you’ve taught them, wearing a multimedia stereo headphone to increasingly zone in on only their own musical creations can vastly impact their ability to improve and further build upon what they learn. Shares music teacher Diana DeSalvo, from Duquesne, PA: “I teach how to play keyboards. Since I am instructing the entire class, they plug their 3060AVS stereo headphones in [to the keyboards]. This cuts down on noise and also allows the students to concentrate on what they are doing.”

Of course there is more to a headphone than just wearing it. Plugging into an instrument a headphone that encompasses the entire ear with larger, over-the-ear earcups helps reduce ambient noise so external distractions don’t affect your students and the sounds they are trying to hear as they work independently. The more they are able to hear their own music as they practice the less the volume level will have to be turned up so their hearing is protected. Wearing headphones with an adjustable headband that fits comfortably for added ease while playing an instrument for a prolonged period of time is also a key aspect for a more fully focused, more enhanced music experience that will last them a lifetime.
