Califone New Headphone Used with Personal CD Player
Califone announced a new headphone will be included with its Personal CD Player.
The change, effective October, 2012, brings in the Lightweight Stereo Headphone (8200-HP) for listening and learning with the Personal CD Player (CD102) and the Four-Person Personal CD Learning Center (CD102PLC). The 8200-HP was first introduced with the Califone MP4 Player and shown to educators at ISTE 2012 earlier this year.
“The introduction of the 8200-HP headphone with the Personal CD Player and the MP4 Player comes because of how often these types of products are being used in mobile and in differentiated learning settings,” shared Tim Ridgway, the company’s VP Marketing.
The headphone is purpose-built to accomodate daily use by students in classrooms, libraries and computer labs. With more districts incorporating hybrid learning, many media specialists are choosing lighter weight headphones for increased student comfort. The 8200-HP helps them meet this objective with its adjustable polypropylene headband and swiveling on-ear earcups.
Califone supports the use of on-ear or over-the-ear earcups because they more effectively help block external ambient noise. Reducing external noise lowers the need by students to increase the audio and helps protect their hearing.
