Being able to visualize what it is that you’re hearing is just one of the benefits of the Califone AV Tutor. When learning how to read, proper pronunciation of each syllable and correct phonetic sound is crucial. With this digital card reader, students are able to see the word, connect it to a picture, listen to its pronunciation and learn how to spell!
The AV Tutor works well with students ranging in different education levels and skill sets. From the young ones perfecting their ABCs and word formation to those who may be struggling and feel more comfortable learning at their own pace. The colorful, fundamental, digital cartridges that are available display words with matching pictures so students can associate one with the other. Using the now included 3064AV headset, they can listen to the lesson and record their responses directly onto the AV Tutor through its built-in mic. Another built-in feature is the volume playback restriction of 85dB (when used with the 3064AV headset) to prevent hearing loss and minimize external distractions. It’s a comfortable, portable tool that gives students the flexibility to practice their lessons both at school and at home. Created in a design most kids today are familiar with if they regularly enjoy electronic games, the AV Tutor will keep students engaged and focused on improving their reading skills, especially when trying out the interactive Play Ball cartridge. Before they even know it, kids will liken learning with fun!
