USB Jackbox Gives Students the Opportunity to Learn by Hearing Their Own Verbal Responses

As speaking and reading aloud helps to increase language fluency and comprehension, students can learn and enhance pronunciation by listening to their own articulation and comparing it to an original. Califone International, Inc., introduces the USB Jackbox, which allows up to six students to listen and practice their language skills at the same time.
The USB technology offers educators with the option of combining the functionality of audio output and input to help students enhance both listening and oral skills. In addition, the unit can greatly benefit those who many need additional reinforcement, including English language learners or special needs students. Made with ABS plastic for durability and safety, the Jackbox allows for six headphones and available for the first time, six microphone inputs as well.
Connecting the USB Jackbox to the classroom computer through a USB plug, students can practice language skills or listen to recorded books and online streaming videos as a group. In addition, students can also create their own podcasts or connect with pen pals thousands of miles away through any VoIP application with the input functionality.
The USB Jackbox helps to save users the hassle of computer settings by having volume control through the output (green) and input (pink) knobs, and has virtually an unlimited life through its AC adapter.
With a one-year warranty and a rugged design that can withstand daily student use, the Stereo USB Jackbox will be sold both separately and bundled with six of the company’s Multimedia Stereo 3064 headsets. The unique Califone warranty includes coverage for school, library and government use, which is typically not available for products purchased from consumer electronics stores.
