Building on the success of its 90-Watt RMS PowerPro system, Califone has designed the PA616 to meet the broadcasting needs of AV professionals and educators in a smaller, more portable package. The unit is both mobile and durable, featuring a rugged fiberglass-reinforced polypropylene enclosure, a steel grille, heavy-duty 3.5-inch “go anywhere” wheels and a convenient four-position telescoping handle. It offers 60 Watts of RMS-rated power and AC/DC power with two replaceable internal batteries. With these features, the PA616 can be used for sound presentations in nearly any venue, from the auditorium to the football field. One PA616 broadcasts effectively to a 750-person audience; with companion speakers, an audience of up to 10,000 can be served.
The PA616 is the only speaker in its class to offer wireless audio transmission over a 300-foot range to multiple powered companion speakers, providing unparalleled flexibility for a variety of events and locations. A fully wireless public address system with two 16-channel selectable UHF mic receivers, the PA616 is ideal both for outdoor use at sporting events, and for indoor meetings, lectures, forensics or theatrical performances. Additional features include voice priority and speaker mute capabilities, CD player, 1/4-inch speaker output, XLR line out, and standard RCA I/O connections, providing easy adaptability to most contemporary sound equipment.
